Curiosity

You’ve heard curiosity killed the cat.

But have you considered all the ways curiosity can be beneficial?

Curiosity gives information at its core: What are you curious about?

My nephew just turned six - an age filled with “why”, “how come”, and “what is that?”, and he’s happy to take things apart and figure out how they work. He wants to figure out how to find more time to do the things that bring him joy!

What are you curious about?

Spirit often speaks to us via signs and symbols, but more often it’s something more personal: thoughts, ideas, aha moments, and curiosities.

Sometimes it’s the road. Sometimes it’s the road to the road...but curiosity is a roadmap guiding each of us to our individual soul’s path and purpose.

In 2020, I was a 50-year-old substitute teacher and a relatively new empty-nester. Covid hit, and suddenly I was forced to look into other options of employment. Curiosity was paramount in helping me figure out which direction to take.

If you recently read A Reiki Story, you know how that went, but it began by getting curious. What interested me? What was I willing to spend hours learning? What brought me joyous fascination? How could I make it happen? Who were the experts I could learn from? When could I take a class? How did my body feel at the prospect? I get so excited thinking about it, that I find my thoughts speeding up as I type...because this is the energy brought by curiosity that is helping guide me, and it is the energy that will help guide you toward your soul’s path and purpose.

What interests you? What makes you want to move faster? What makes you want to learn as much as you can as fast as you can? Where does joy bubble up from deep within you?

Explore that.

Act like a six-year-old. It’s never too late to listen to the curiosity within!

Your soul is asking you to listen and respond accordingly.
