While on my morning walk, I was listening to a podcast about Tarot readings, and it struck a chord with me. Normally, I wouldn’t choose to listen to a podcast that features Tarot because, although I have a couple decks and was trained how to read them, I connect more with my oracle decks. This episode just happened to be in my queue, which is another way the angels have been known to reach out to me.
Over the years I have had several people tell me they are scared to get an oracle reading. I wonder why, because I always get encouraging messages. Then I remember that many people have been taught to fear Tarot and Oracle as evil or bad.
Oracle and Tarot Cards are tools – just like a hammer! Hammers aren’t evil or bad. We know that while their purpose is for building things, there have been some people who have used them for undesirable purposes. The same can be said about divination cards and tools.
I find Oracle Cards helpful, positive, and encouraging because I use them that way. It wouldn’t occur to me to be afraid of their messages for two reasons: I channel the angels for Divine Guidance, and I know they are a snapshot in time of the energy I’m currently in. Because I’m not looking for them to be a fortune-teller, but more as an aid to point me in the direction I want to go, if I don’t like a message I’m getting, I know I have the power to change the trajectory. The angels are good about providing me options of how to improve my situation.
Oracle Card Readings have actually been healing in my life. When I choose a card and get a message that makes me uncomfortable, I sigh. On a certain level I already know what I should be doing, or what is blocking my success – this is just a physical reminder that I have free will and should I choose, I can put myself into a state of flow or keep going the way I’m going. Most of the time I choose to do the work to make my life better.
During my rookie year of Reiki and Card Reading I had a Shaman tell me that card readings are healing also. I was surprised by that but have found it to be true. When we choose to live in alignment with our soul’s path and purpose, much healing is accomplished.
Cards are physical tools to bring messages of how to best live in alignment. In fact, just this week I had a long-time reiki and vibrational sound therapy client come to me for her first official reading. As we went through her reading she had a couple epiphanies and even wrote down the connections that she made. As she was walking out to her car, amazed, she said her heel didn’t hurt anymore! The next day she texted me again and she was still pain-free in her heel. The reason the card reading manifested a physical healing for her was because she did the work immediately to let go of energetic ties that were affecting her physically, as well as mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
And so it can be for you...an Angel Oracle Card Reading starts by recognizing something you’ve been doing well. It goes on to point out something the angels want you to know, and continues with something that might get in your way from reaching your goal. Depending on the length and depth of the reading, more and clarifying cards can be pulled. Ultimately, the outcome is up to you, but it’s 100 per cent a tool, not good or evil.
