Expect Miracles
This last weekend I had the privilege of teaching my Communicating with Angels Certification Class. It was a wonderful day filled with a lot of insights and intuition. The part I was most concerned about was leading people in meditations. I’m not sure why. I meditate everyday. Every reiki session I do begins with me leading my client in a meditation. Every reiki attunement I give begins with a meditation. I am very practiced in meditations. What was different this time is that I asked for angel guidance, wrote them down, and followed the script. They were very well received, and in fact, I was asked to share them with the class so they could take themselves into the same meditations in their communicating with angels practices. Let me tell you —- PHEW! I was so glad I had written them down! Of course it makes sense that if someone pays for a class to learn how to communicate with angels and I show them that meditation can aid the process, I should provide the meditations.
Disclaimer: I am one of those people who doesn’t really follow recipes (exception: my chocolate chip cookie recipe). My mom went to college and earned a Home Economics degree in the 1960’s (she also met JFK and Bobby Kennedy there…but I digress, that’s a cool story for another day) and I learned from her a little food science and what flavors blend well together. Because of this I tend to use recipes as guidelines based on the ingredients I have on hand. It’s an unfortunate truth when someone wants the recipe for something I’ve “whipped up” in the kitchen. The same can be said for my meditations. They are generally an amalgam of some of the wonderful meditations I’ve used in my daily practice over the last couple years.
And here we go - on the third paragraph where I get to the point of why you should Expect Miracles. Miracles happen everyday. We are surrounded by 1000s of angels that are waiting to help us. Lorna Byrne, in her book, Angels in My Hair, describes them as unemployed angels.The sad thing about there being so many unemployed angels around is that each one of us could use a hand now again…and because of the Universal Law of Free Will, they cannot help us unless we ask. I think it was a miracle that I chose to write down meditations for this class! Because I asked for angelic help, they were likely even better than anything I would’ve come up with off the cuff.
“Thank you, Angels, for reminding me of your presence.” “Thank you, Angels, for revealing to me what I need to know today.” “Thank you, Angels, for helping me with inspiration to get my task done today.” “Thank you, Angels, for making my pain more tolerable/or taking my pain away.” “Thank you, Angels, for Rock Star parking for this event.” “Thank you, Angels.”
Why the “thank yous”? Because, when you begin with a thank you, you are expecting the miracle is a done deal. When you expect miracles, you will find they begin happening all around you for every little thing. And seriously, it can be thanking the angels for helping you to pick out an outfit in the morning or figuring out what to eat…or you can ask for help on a test, or finding the best medical professional, or an honest bank. Our Guardian Angels are with us from before birth, through our death, and in between…they are our BFFs and will do whatever they can to make sure we are following our soul’s path and purpose. They, and all the other angels that surround us, are ready, willing, and able to help us make it through this life with more ease and grace, and definitely with more miracles.
