Who is Archangel Uriel?

It turns out that Archangel Uriel has been working with me a bit undercover for the past couple years, and I none the wiser, went about my days recognizing the likes of the big guns: Archangel Michael, Archangel Gabriel, and Archangel Raphael, and even the lesser knowns: Archangels Raguel, Azrael, Areil and Jophiel. I would call in Metatron and Zadkiel, Chamuel, and Sandalphon. But Uriel...I didn’t think we really had a connection.  

Boy, was I wrong! 

Archangel Uriel, with the strength of the earth, providing grounding and stabilization – fully taken for granted unless it ceases to be the foothold I depend on – has been working to shape and mature my understanding and bring me peace.  

You know when you make bargains with yourself? The other morning, I woke up conscious, but my eyes were pleading for more time to relax in their closed position. I told myself that I could climb back under the covers IF I did a meditation. I searched through two different apps until an Archangel Uriel meditation captured my interest.  

It did NOT start well. I found the woman’s voice irritating...but I made myself put my phone down and continue to listen. Afterall, I did want to close my eyes and scrolling for another meditation would not help me achieve that goal. Quite quickly, I stopped hearing the sound of her voice and started hearing her words as I breathed in and out.  

Before I knew it, I was overcome with a feeling of peace and wisdom. 

I have experienced this before...this knowing that there is a bigger reason than we will ever know on Earth for the things (that feel bad, look bad, but aren’t necessarily bad) going on. And, that every little thing is going to be alright and working out for the highest and best good of all. My responsibility is to do what I can to make my world more loving, giving, forgiving, and compassionate so that vibration will trickle out and spread and grow. 

I spent the next 20 or so minutes contemplating this, feeling that sense of peace and knowing, and being filled with gratitude that this archangel has, in fact, been working with me.  

This is good information, a reminder that angels are working with us even when we don’t know it’s them. It’s also a reminder that if we don’t take the time to get quiet and recognize our feelings and thoughts around a particular angel that our mind will do that egomaniacal trick of making us believe that it was all us all along. We are more supported than we know, and the more we recognize and appreciate the angels in our orbit, the more ease and peace we will find surrounding us; our thoughts, actions, and experiences. 

Whether it’s early in the morning, or some other time, if you are feeling wide awake but your eyes do not want to stay open, take it as a sign from your angels that they are asking you to get quiet, notice your feelings and thoughts, and recognize that they are reaching out to you with an important message. Take the time. Make note of it. Thank them.
